Job Description

DRAMA PRODUCTION ADVISOR

EFFECTIVE: 2025-2026 School Year
LOCATION: Baldwin High School
WORKDAY: After School Hours
COMPENSATION: $4,132 for rehearsals and productions
REPORTS TO: Director of Fine & Performing Arts

REQUIREMENTS: 
-Plan, organize, schedule, and supervise all aspects of drama productions (casting, rehearsals, performances).
-Coordinate and collaborate with staff, including musical directors, choreographers, technical directors, and costume/set designers, including custodians and administrators.
-Conduct auditions and cast students appropriately, promoting inclusivity and educational value. Evaluate and select performance content for administrative approval.
-Oversee rehearsals, ensuring student safety, discipline, and artistic growth.
-Knowledge of theatrical production elements (acting, directing, stage management, lighting, sound, costumes, sets).
-Flexibility to work evenings and weekends for rehearsals and performances.

Job Qualifications

-New York State Teaching Certification in Theatre, Music, or a related arts field, preferred.
-Fingerprint clearance and compliance with district employment requirements.
